Question re: Sept 12th

If I'm keeping up with the rumors - the consensus view is that we'll be able to preorder at some point after the keynote. yes? ( i realize we wont know for sure until that day).

Apparently this would be consistent with the iPad3 launch (so not an unheard of sequence of events). Question is - At what time did the 'doors open' for prerecords for the iPad. Was it late in the day or immediately after the keynote?


I've got to travel on the 12th and would like to try and be around when the fun starts.

Perhaps I'm totally wrong but I seem to recall in the past preorders being started the Friday after the keynote (which usually happens on a Tuesday/Wednesday), for delivery/release the following Friday.

The keynote finished at 6pm (UK) and they said at the end, it will be ready for preorder......now.

Although it took me till midnight to get my order to go through, site went crazy slow, 6 hours to make the order and i pretty much none stop tried.
