iPad Pro Question re webcam on external display

To those running the dev beta and testing external monitor support, can you use the webcam on an external display — such as the built-in one on the Studio Display — instead of the one on the iPad? Although the camera quality on the iPad may be better than the one on the display, the latter is better positioned so that you can look into the camera without looking down.
