I appologize if this has been addressed somewhere else (I searched but couldn't find a similar topic), but I was wondering what happens now when I take my 1st generation iPhone in for warranty replacement. Does it get replaced with a 1st gen refurb? Does it get replaced with a 3G model?

Thanks for the insight...

you will get a 1st gen for sure.

They cant replace it with 3g because then, well youd have to update your contract, something you shouldnt have to do with a replacement phone.

I just took a dead 1st gen in, they handed me a refurb, which might I add, was better than the new one i got before. I just sold it on ebay for 360$
