Question regarding Best Buy and activation.

If I were to go to Best Buy on Friday, could I just buy the phone and not sign any contracts until later the day? I'm joining my sisters plan so there is no way I could pre-order.

Also, is the activation process staying the same as it was last year or will it be like the original iPhone?

If you want to get it at the subsidized price, you would need to sign the contract at that time.

You can still preorder, it holds the phone for you. So you could just bring your sister in at that time
