Hi I am a new mac user. When I go into the file users/myself/music all of my music is there however there is another file in there called itunes which has a subfolder with the same music. Does this mean I have double of every music file on my hard drive?

Sounds like it. But you've got to explain what you did first.

i used a program called senuti to pull the music off my ipod and onto my MBA. I then imported the music into itunes. So Im assuming I should just go ahead and delete all the music out of the folder except the itunes folder?

Go into preferences in iTunes and see where the iTunes music folder is set under the 'advanced' tab.
Also, you want to make sure that the box is ticked where it says 'Copy Files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library'.

If both of these were already fine, then yeah, go ahead and delete them.
