question regarding mountain lion upgrade

i was watching wwdc and they mentioned anyone who purchases mountain lion will be able to install it on their other macs at no charge. i have a macbook air on the way which qualifies for the free upgrade. will i be able to upgrade my iMac with this or will i need to purchase the software for it?

it's like any program bought on the mac app store..

you login with the same apple id, and you can find it under purchased apps (or what its name)

BUT i only have my macbook air, so i cant really tell you how it goes

(also you should have posted this some other place i feel?)
