Question regarding pre-order

I pre-ordered my phone on Sunday the 14th which I realize was passed the AT&T notification. And they told me 7-14 days from the 14th. Cool, but I see a lot of people posting on here saying they will wait in line at AT&T the morning of the 19th. Now if their giving up phones why isn't my pre-order being filled so I can receive it on the 19th as well. Can I just go early in the morning and pick one up and cancel my order? :eek:

What makes my matters worse is I called Best Buy and the lady told me NO new iphone was coming out. Then I asked to speak to manager and he tells me they don't know if they will be getting any. You can't get a straight answer from BB at all.

umm you can just pre order from apple.com and get it delivered to your house on the 19th? No good?
 
Apple and AT&T have specific allotments (Right word?) for Pre-Order and walk-ins.

AT&T sold out on the pre-orders already (Saturday). That means that if you want an iPhone sold from AT&T on Friday June 19th, you'd need to get your butt in line and wait it out.

You can still cancel your order and place it with Apple, you're guaranteed delivery by the 19th with Apple.
 
So cancel At&T and order from Apple online today and I'll still get it in time??!?!?!!?


Once I get the phone do I need to take it to an ATT store?

Nope, once you get the phone just connect it to iTunes, and then go through the activation process.


Yes, cancel with AT&T and order from Apple.

Some are being shipped right now, like mine- It's almost to Alaska....shipped from China on Sunday.
