Hope someone can shed some light on this for me:

I just purchased a 1.6 GHz, 4GB RAM MBA as a backup computer to my 17 inch Macbook Pro. The MBA is replacing my old backup, an HP NX9420 with 2.0 GHz C2D, 256 MB video card and 2GB RAM.

Here's my issue:

The 11 inch runs pretty well, but when I send video to an external monitor via my specialized software, there is some hesitation. The software is designed to play individual clips back to back to back. On my MBP, they play seamlessly (essentially they're jump cuts back to back). On the MBA there's a brief moment of black screen while each next clip comes up and is subsequently played.

Is this a result of the slower processor or is it the video card? The reason I ask is, if I bump up to the 13 inch for a faster processor, the video card remains the same. This is all done in Windows 7 via Bootcamp.
