I have a question, running the rMBP 13 inch at 1440x900 by rdm at 1440x900 non hdpi, would the rMBP run faster or slower than the MBA? also would the screen be blurrier than MBA because of it running at non hdpi?

From my observation the screen looks the same as the mba, not blurrier.
I use the non-hdpi-mode to get rid of the notorious scrolling lag that the rmbp displays.

In non-hdpi the mba and rmbp seem equally fast.

I have both a 13" Air (2011) and a 13" rMBP. I run the rMBP at 1440x900, it looks way better than the Air. Speed I can't really tell much difference, the GPU in the rMBP is much better than the one in my Air.

Are you running the rmbp in hdpi or non-hdpi? That is the original question.
In hdpi-mode (which is the default) it is obviously better than the mba.
