So after reading about OS scaling, etc, I've come across this issue and I had a question for someone who may know...

I have a large image and need to crop it to 300px by 300px. I load the image into photoshop, set my crop window to 300x300. After saving the image open the image info and it says it's 2000x2000....
I turned on rulers in PS and it says its 2000px by 2000px but my crop window is still 300px by 300px.

What gives? I'm confused on this whole scaling issue. Will the retina update for CS 6 resolve this or is this an internal OS scaling issue?

Many Thanks for your response

Martin.

I opened an JPG image (5184x3456), set a fixed 300x300 marquee on the image. Did a crop command and saved the jpg. I checked the result in Finder/Get Info and it shows a size of 300x300.
