Question to those running xbmc and eyetv

I have a question to anyone running xbmc through the apple tv. I wanted to know if it's able to playback raw eyetv recordings over the network without having to convert first. I already have 3 apple tvs and I use eyetv to record hdtv on my imac. One of the cool things is that I can take the eyetv file as soon as it's done recording and play it back on my ps3 via a hard drive without having to convert first. It would be even easier to stream it through the apple tv though. Please let me know. Thanks!

What format does it record in? In any case, I'm sure XBMC's software decoder will handle it
