Im wondering what kind of return I can expect if I sell my iPhone 4 after the new one is released. I just wanted a rough idea, will I get 200, 500? I know it can't be exact, but for example, did you sell an iPhone 3GS after the iPhone 4 came out, and if so how much did you get for it? thanks!

check out ebay and your local craigslist to get a general idea. about 3 weeks ago i saw BROKEN iphone 4s being sold for parts on ebay for an average of $250. assuming yours is working i would guess youd get at least $300 depending on your carrier and condition

Probably get close to $350, although they are certainly worth much more money... I was going to sell mine, but since I bought it refurbished and it came with AppleCare till 2013, I really cannot justify the sale especially when it does everything i would want. Wait until iphone5 is out and see if it would definitely be worth the upgrade.

Bought my 3GS in March 2010 for $425, sold it in Feb 2011 (way after iPhone 4) for $400.

Bought iP4 for $200, if I do end up selling it then I won't settle for less than $400 becus its clean, has plenty of battery capacity left, is the white version, and I like to sign out of my iTunes account and erase all data but leave all my paid games and apps for the buyer to use until they choose to sync it.

I don't remember quite well but I remember buying a refurb iPhone 3G for $99 and ended up selling it for around $200. I sold my 3GS for a bite more. Usually iPhone's retain their value.

I've never sold an iPhone 4 but I sold a 16gb 3GS with a cracked screen 2 months ago for $200. I listed it on ebay with a buy it now of $200 thinking that was high and someone bought it in less than 10 minutes. After it sold so fast I wished I would have listed it for more.

eBay will get you a good a price, I'd estimate around $350 for an iPhone 4 in great shape. But this time around I'm gonna give Craigslist a try. eBay is easier but the fees are insane.

sold my 32gb iphone 4 on craigslist for $500 and bought another iphone 4 on there for $215 and im gonna sell it after I get the iphone 5. hopefully i wil get my $215 back!

I've sold both a 16gb 3g, and 32gb 3gs for $400 on craigslist. I will do the same this time around.

I've sold all my low-end capacity iPhones for ~375 in the past, if that helps.
