Yes, I've even posted in an earlier battery thread and I've searched but not certain if I'm bad at using the search function as I couldn't find anything!

However, my question is rather simple:

When I'm home with my current laptop, and I know I'm just to sit and do school work and won't be on the move I'd often take out the battery so I don't take pointless life of the battery.

As I'm on the verge of buying a 15" with i5 I'm aware you cannot take out the battery except when having a new one placed in (which should be quite expensive) but wondering if Apple then has made some option with the charger being plugged in, but battery isn't being used?

As this would prevent a lot of "wasted battery time"!

Hope this made sense ;(
