When I right click my SSD on the desktop to find out the size, it says 20 gig used, 90 gigs free. however, when I go into activity monitor, it shows 60 gig free, 50 gigs used? My hdd is both the same when I right click and activity monitor. This happen to anyone else with the dual drive setup?

There was some software that would visualize your hard drive so you could see if some wonky stuff was going on (on Windows there would often be a massive page file or hibernation/restore file taking up a ton of space).

Another thing .. Time Machine might make random temp files that can be erased/overwritten if you need the space but activity monitor will report it as used even though to the end-user it is not.
