Question with unlocking my iP4

att approved me to unlock my old ip4 the email says the phone has to have the sim card in it does anyone no if that matters?
Because I dont have the sim card I used with the phone anymore.

Doesnt matter what sim card you put in.
If they processed the unlock you can restore it, activate it and use it with any carriers gsm sim.
