Questions about 3G iPhone

Hello,

I plan on buying the new 3G iPhone on Friday. I had a question about my family plan my parents have. They used to have Cellular One, then ATT bought them, I wanted to add to their plan, can you do that? They just have regular plan with voice only. I figured if they are existing customers, I would pay the $10 to add a line and the $30 data plan..right? Thanks

Yeah, but it doesn't sound like you'll be eligible for an upgrade price. you may also want to verify the costs of family plans with a mix of iPhones and other phones.

You may have to involve your parents; AT&T usually takes an opportunity like this to 'modernize' your parents' antiquated voice plan. By 'modernize' I mean charge you more for the same.
