Is there a difference between CS6 student and teacher edition than with the regular edition? If so, can someone list the features that the regular edition might have that the student edition doesnt, or vice versa.

It's exactly the same. Also note that when your done your academics you are allowed to use it for commercial use. If you actually goto the Adobe site and read the software policy of educational software you are indeed allowed to use it for commercial projects.

Will do everything the retail version will do. But you will not be able to upgrade it down the road.
