I have a couple questions about the iphone. First, I was wondering because I have wanted an iphone badly for a while but my mother has said no because of the price of the plans, If i was to unlock the iphone does that get around having to get a plan? I have at&t but my parents don't want to pay the price for it so I was just wondering if unlocking it bypasses having to get the plan or not? Also I was wondering if that does by pass the plan, is there a particular plan I could get that lets me use the internet and youtube ect without being chargered a ridiculous amount?
Thanks

Yes unlocking would allow you to use other SIMs in the iPhone. But the data rates are expensive without a plan. Its only $20/month for an iPhone. That includes unlimited data. Offer to pay your parents that amount. I am sure you can come up with $240/year.
