What is the best recommended route? I have 8 GB I would like to backup to DVD, which actually splits nicely into Winter 2005 photos and Spring 2006 photos.
My question is how to do I burn the DVDs but keep the roll name organization? It took a while to sort all the photos by roll, but it has worked nicely since. If I burn a DVD from iPhoto, will that keep the roll name organization? Also I would like to keep the modified/unmodified structure, in case I learn better techniques to post-process my images, I still have the originals. But I also have the modified ones as well.
I've thought about splitting my iPhoto library into two libraries, and burning a DVD of the library. Again, would that maintain the organization? I don't want to have to end up importing 2000+ images under one roll again.
I've been using iPhoto Library Manager, but dragging the rolls I want to the new library imports them all into one roll. Even importing them roll by roll doesn't import the roll name, so they all have to be renamed as well.
