I'm thinking of buying an ATV2 tomorrow, just wanted to ask something first.
I have a load of DVD's which I'll be ripping/converting using handbrake (ATV2 preset) but I also download a few shows which aren't on TV in the UK. These shows are 720p (x264) mkv files and the audio is AC3, 6 channels 448kbps.
I usually convert them to m4v files for iTunes leaving the video untouched and just converting audio to AAC 384kbps but I noticed on the apple site it says the ATV2 supports max bitrate of 160kbps?
Do I need to re-convert all my existing videos to downgrade the audio to 160kbps?
Also I've noticed in handbrake that the default ATV2 preset is to create 2 audio tracks, 1 for AAC 160kbps and the 2nd for AC3, so in future when converting should I leave the AC3 track aswell as making an AAC one? (Don't have a surround sound system yet but plan on getting one soon so would like all the videos to be ready)
Sorry for all the questions but just wanted to check a few things before I buy and rip all my videos in the wrong format/settings.
