Questions about battery

I usually listen to music at least 2hrs a day on school and free time on my cellphone. My nokia can last probably 8hrs with music, but then its not a pro phone.

Would the iphone last for 2-3hr music at 30-50% volume (unless the volume is really low) and 2-3hrs wifi?

By the way, whats 3G? Internet access?

And can i turn off like edge and 3G if iam in a Wifi spot? So it suddenly wont connect to 3G and charge me for 10000$ ._.

And whats location finder, or something..

3g - faster acccess to data as opposed to edge
You cant turn off edge unless you enter some fake info
Location finder is for the maps app, or other apps that ask you where you are.

unless you turn off 3G, the fact that you're on wifi doesn't matter. and I'm not sure if the volume level matters either
