So I just set these bad boys up to my iMac and I'm curious why I can't control the brightness on the external displays with the keyboard functions?

Also as of now I'm just using the iMac's speakers but I'm curious if there's a way of enabling the externals in addition to the iMac's? Or dedicating each monitor as L\R speakers?

Is your iMac set as your main display (i.e., in the "Displays" preference pane, your iMac would have the menu bar on top)? AFAIK, the brightness keys apply to whatever screen is set as the main screen.

In my setup, my ACD is set as my main display. My Apple wireless keyboard adjusts my ACD's brightness, while I can control my MBP's brightness with the laptop keyboard. On the other hand, if I make my MBP the main display, both the wireless keyboard and the laptop keyboard adjust the MBP brightness.
