Questions about High Sierra

I have Sierra 10.12.5 but have see no option to update to High Sierra for my Macbook Pro. How long has HS been available? How do I get it? Is the upgrade worthwhile at this point?

It's not available, unless you sign up for the public beta at beta.apple.com .

I don't recommend you do it yet, wait at least until th next public beta is released this week or maybe next week.
