So I pre-ordered a JB 7+ through the Apple store for T-Mobile at 3:24am.
Got an Oct. 18-31 date.

I'm on Cricket Wireless and pay $35 flat a month which is great and suits my needs for the most part.

I've always been interested in the IUP. I actually tried to do it last year when I was considering a switch to Verizon but my credit score wasn't good enough for the IUP apparently. I had a good score then but it's even better this year. I also heard that they are less strict this year? Is that true? Anyways...

What's the best way to get get on the IUP without being on a major carrier? I've seen some say to use AT&T and just cancel. That sounds easy enough but I'm wondering about fees and such. Maybe T-Mobile would be another alternative if they don't have fees?

My next question is for those who did this last year and are getting this year's phone... do you have to be on a major carrier when you upgrade? Basically, do you have to go through all this again? Or is it a "once you're in you're in" kind of thing?

Lastly, and this is probably a question for the Apple store... since I have my phone pre-ordered as a pay in full device... once it arrives, can I take it to a store and return it unopened and then basically immediately re-purchase it with the IUP? Or do I need to start over with my order (or pray for one to show up that I can reserve which is the most ideal). I guess my main reason for wondering this is whether unopened returns have a special process they have to go through before they're able to be purchased etc.

Thanks for advice!
