HI, I'm still waiting for my MBA 2012. Its been shipped and probably will get it in two days. This is my first macbook and I really have little knowledge about macbook. These are my questions.

1. Do I need to calibrate my MBA once I get it?

2. Do games such as Diablo 3, WOW etc run on MAC OS X or Windows(bootcamp/parallels).

3. What are the things that I should do once I get my macs(important things)?

Cheers:)

-edited questions-

4. about external hdd, i have the normal one, can it operate on MAC. my friend said something about partitioning, so quite not sure about it. So I can use the normal external HDD without buying the specialize for Mac?

1. Like the battery? If so then no.

2. I do not play games so do not know.

3. Click to Flash.

Enjoy.

- Yeah the 2012 MBA can run most games, i can easily run COD on my one (you will want to run in bootcamp for windows games)

- Essential apps: VLC

- Essential kit: External HDD

Hope this helps

Absolutely not.

I've ran Portal 2 and Fifa 12 superbly on my MBA 2012. Portal 2 was outstanding, Fifa 12 ran fine on low settings (through bootcamp). I'm currently trying to install Half Life 2 but my hotel internet this week is terrible..

+1 VLC
+1 ClickToFlash
I like to make the dock as small as possible (with magnification) to get more screen space.
Bootcamp early on I would say while you have lots of free space, Then you have it when you need it immediately.
Utorrent
Chrome for when Safari isn't compatible.
Flash player.
NTFS-3G

Install NTFS-3G (or similar app) Enables you to read/write to external drives formatted as NTFS (same as most windows drives).Dont mess about with separate partitions.

Wow I'm feeling helpful today.
