I know on June 15th you can pre-order/reserving an iPhone 4. I am a bit unfamiliar with the pre-ordering process.

If you can pre-order and pick it up in the stores, does that only mean it guarantees you one on launch day? Also on launch date will there be a separate lines for pre-orders and non-preorders? (So pre-orders go in the store first?)

And if you reserve the iPhone 4 in store pick-up, do you have to pay the whole thing, or just put a certain amount down?

I doubt if anyone knows this question.
What time do Apple Stores open when the new iPhone 4 comes out? I bought my iPhone 3GS last year at launch at AT&T and they opened at around 7 I think, which I read is the same this year.

I'd rather deal with Apple. Do they open around 7 A.M to too?

I seriously just got done reading multiple threads that answer all of your questions. I suggest you take a look around before posting. ;)

Yes. I saw the threads, but they didn't completely answer all of my questions. I still have some confusion....

Ok. I found out a couple of my answers to my questions so I deleted it out of the first post.
Can anyone help me out with my remaining questions?
Thanks in advance.

Yes

Reserve @ Apple store = pay nothing
Pre-order = Pay in full

I think mine opened @ 6 or 7 am last year.

so reserving one means you dont pay for it until u pick up? but it is still guaranteed? i almost would rather prepay it but still pick it up. I know its easier to get it shipped to my house, but i would rather go to the store and pick it up!

Yes, I believe it is held until a certain time on the release date. You pay for the phone when you pick it up.

Yes, that is correct. They hold it for you until a certain time on release day. For the iPad, you had to pick it up by like 2 local time...I think

I just found this on the Apple site :S

Source : http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone

Now, I don't know if that only applies to the online shop or not, but this surely blows :(
I hope the other stores (BestBuy/RadioShack/blabla) won't be like this D:

no matter where you try to get the iPhone 4 you're gonna need a 2 year contract for at least for 8 months of release. when they start to prep iPhone 5 then they will start selling them sans contract. BB radioshack... are partners and have to do what apple and ATT tell them they don't have options.

AT&T Customer Rep Said This

This is what I got from AT&T yesterday.

This is what I got from AT&T yesterday.

Was the AT&T rep calling the new iphone "4G?"
Whoa.
Anyhow, to the OP, if you pre-order online via apple.com to have it delivered to your house it will be delivered on the 24th of June (release day). Assuming the carrier company does not delay the shipment. Throughout numerous folks on here who have done it this way, they have always received it on launch day with no problems.

Talked to 3 of my local Apple stores and called to the Apple HQ.
Pre-order: Pay up front and have it delivered to you.
Reserve : Exactly as it says. You'll have to pick it up at your local store by a
certain time. But your phone will be there waiting for you with your
name on it....and you pay for it when you pick it up.

So there are people that actually use that chat service?

That poor woman doesn't get paid enough.

"if Best Buy is busy and Apple is too far away, can I go to AT&T and get it on the 24th if I pre ordered it at Wal-Mart?"

AT&T lady - oh brother
