So I have a Verizon iPhone 4 with a cracked screen. I've seen on eBay where I can get about $250 - $300 for it as is.

If I currently have a contract with Verizon, can I get a new iPhone 4 and transfer my account over to that? Would I have to pay the full price for the iPhone 4? How much would that be?

If I transfered the account over, would the broken iPhone be considered to have a "good ESN"?

Would it be cheaper to cancel my contract, sign up again to get a new iPhone and sell the old one on eBay?

Forget all the canceling, selling stuff etc. Just take it to Apple. They may give you a replacement for free or the worse case it would be $200. If you can't get to the Apple store it can be done over the phone. :apple:

Anything else will cost much more. :(

Does Apple routinely replace iPhone's with broken screens for free?

If you go to a store, calmly and nicely explain what happened and don't set any expectations, you may be surprised at what Apple can do when you have already (or will have) paid several times the actual cost of the phone anyway!
