Here
I had some questions regarding switchresx.

I want an App that will remember window size and placement upon a change in resolution or change in number of display, clamshell ect.

I've been using Display maid, but it hasn't been updated and I'm having issues with it. I installed SwitchResX on a test partition and it does what I want, but I had some questions.

1) It installs a preference pane and a "daemon", what exactly is is?

2) Is SwitcResX safe? I hear many people here mention it.

3) You have a few options at installation (such as to allow the daemon and helper tools and what to boot upon startup), what is the least invasive installation options? I don't want it to run constantly, I just want to be able to launch it to fix my windows upon a display change and then quit it.

THanks!

Do any of you use SwitchresX with a default installation?

Do you notice any lag at 2880 x 1800?
