I was wondering if the aluminum iMacs have had any heat issues related to the GPU that cause the screen to have horizontal lines and the system to lock up.

I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on a 24" 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo iMac w/ Radeon HD 2600 Pro, but I just wanna make sure that these systems don't have a history of heat issues related to the GPU (My current '06 white 20" iMac has heat issues with the Radeon X1600 GPU that causes lines on the screen and the system to lock up)

Also, does the Radeon HD 2600 Pro perform better for some games than the integrated GeForce 9400M?

Thanks for the answers.

I have the alu iMac model you mention (24" 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo iMac w/ Radeon HD 2600 Pro), it has run 24/7 since October 2008 with no heat issues, no horizontal line problem, has never locked up.

Don't use it for games, so can't answer that part of your question.

My current temps are (F):
HD 133
CPU 157
CPU heatsink 130
Airport card 106
Ambient 70
GPU 133
GPU diode 137
GPU heatsink 137

Radeon 2600 PRO handles games way better than 9400M.

I don't have the exactly same setup (See sig) but here's my temps (C):

HD: ~45
CPU: ~40
CPU Heatsink: ~40
Ambient: ~25
GPU: ~45
GPU Heatsink: ~45
HD Bay: ~45
Mem Controller: ~40
