Hello, I have a few questions regarding shopping from Apple online.

Since there's no Apple Store anywhere near me, I'm planning to order my MBP online using the Apple site. I was wondering if ordering online I would have to pay state tax. Also, if I get a bad MBP, can I return it to an Apple Store, or do I have to ship it back and pay for the shipping costs?

Thank you.

don't know about the tax bit ( I'm in the EU) but if you get a dud machine then if it is within 2 weeks of arrival then you should have no bother returning it and of course they pay the shipping as its they who have sold you a machine that is dud

hope this helps

ps , wait a week or 2 if you can before you buy ...theres a big show coming up!!

In the US, sales tax is based on the state being shipped to. I'm pretty sure apple has stores in all states so you'll probably be paying tax. As for returning, you can return to a store, and i think they will pay for return shipping, too.
