1. The audio transfers over to the :apple:TV, right?

2. When mirroring, are there options to try to take up as much of my TV as possible? Or will it leave a few inches around all borders?

3. Is it possible to use it as a second display, or can it only mirror?

The reason I ask is because I live in Germany right now and Netflix isn't allowed over here. I have a VPN blocker on my computer, but not my router, so I have to connect my computer to my TV with an HDMI cable. I'm looking at getting a MBP and I don't want to have to set it right next to the TV when I want to watch something.

This is using a rMBP with an older HDTV and Apple TV:

1. Yes, but I have had it glitch so the sound was coming out from the laptop while the video was onscreen. Turning the Appe TV off and on by unplugging it and plugging it back in fixed that.

2. Mines a 46" and there is no border. The rMBP automatically switches to the best resolution for the Tv when Mirroring and then outs it on the Tv screen.

3. I don't think you can use the TV as a second display with AirPlay Mirroring. I'm sure this is a possibility using a hard line connection via HDMI cable though.
