Questions about wmv formated movies

I have some Naruto movies that I want to watch on my macbook (version 10.6.4) the problem is the movies are in wmv format and if I watch it through Qucktime it takes forever to load the whole movie.

My question is , Is there a program that can convert wmv to mgp? (quicktime uses mpg i may be wrong it just loads faster I observed)

Have you tried VLC Player yet?

Btw, QuickTime's standard container is .mov, not .mpg/.mgp.
