Notebook or a MacMini future purchase, and I have a couple of question for those in the know as to which is better....

1. Both MacBooks (Pro or Air model) have the PCIe SSD's, but not Quad Core, but the MacMini 2012 has Quad Core, but not the PCIe SSD offering. I would like both Quad and PCIe SSD, but that is not to be at this time. Wondering what would you choose, the faster PCIe SSD or Quad if you had a choice ? This will be a desktop computer, none travel unless I get kicked out of my home. :D

Some Photoshop work, but mostly not too CPU intensive most of the time.

PS: I know I can wait a bit for the upcoming June announcement, but my current MacMini is going to be given away soon, and just wondering if anyone has a answer to above question. 15 inch is out of the question because of cost.

The Mac mini can be upgraded with one or two SATA III SSDs, which can perform close to PCIe SSDs when in RAID.

For your stated needs, the Mac mini and the 13" MacBooks will do more than fine, but if you need the extra oomph, get the Mac mini.

Thank you for your reply simsaladimbamba....

Nice for me, I can go either way on my next purchase
