questions on jb for ipod touch 2g (4.1)

i have an ipod touch 2g 8gb and i upgrade it to 4.1. from this webpage http://thebigboss.org/jailbreak-now it says that 4.1 you can jb with redsn0w but when i read this http://thebigboss.org/guides/jailbreak-with-redsn0w i dont understand. what ipod 2g is tethered if model # has MC in it. someone can explain to me and help me? i know tethered is once shut down the ipod the jb is gone. i want to know how to jb this 4.1 ipod 2g 8gb thanks
