I'm a college student so I already qualify for Apple's educational discount on the 2011 MacBook Pros. When the iPod promotion starts (which is about when?), do I qualify for both?

At that time, will the $100 free printer rebate still be on?

Do any of the above (iPod, Educational Discount, or Printer Rebate) apply to refurbished models?

Lastly, I will be looking to increase my RAM to 8 GB on the MacBook Pro. If I buy the RAM from OWC, then I can trade my old RAM in for about $22. If I bought it elsewhere, is there any place to trade the original Apple RAM in for money?

Thanks

1. You can get all three; edu discount, free iPod and free printer. BTS promo starts usually in late May

2. Refurbs do not apply

3. You can sell it in eBay for instance, or keep it for troubleshooting.

Glad to hear that! I'm definitely waiting for the promo. Do you know if the rebate comes as a check we can cash or is it like credit to the Apple store?

For purchases via the U.S. Apple Online Store for Education Individuals or from 1-800-MY-APPLE, rebate checks will only be mailed to the credit card holder and billing address of the credit card used to make the purchase. Checks will only be mailed to an address located within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. It may take up to eight (8) weeks after Apple’s receipt of a completed rebate claim that is made in accordance with these terms to receive your check.

Sounds like it is a check. Definitely not an Apple gift card.

I actually went to the Apple store over the weekend and I asked them about the ipod touch promotion and the sales person told me he's not sure if Apple will even do it this year...anyone else hear anything like that?
