Okay, I've never had a MBP or bought a refurb from apple, and I think now might be the time to make the leap. After the MBP revision we saw at the WWDC, the 17" 2.66 refurb looks very good with an $850 price drop. My questions are:
What does the new 17" (or 15" for that matter) have that warrants a 30% price drop? The refurb 17" is cheaper than the new 15" with the 9600 GPU and you get a 17" screen plus the "revolutionary" built in battery, and 6mb L2 cache which is, I think, twice what the 15" has.
Do refurbs come in perfect physical condition? I assume there would not be scratches on the screen or anything and know that the refurb program has gotten pretty good reviews in general, but what condition should I really expect?
