I just picked up a 800mhz imac g4 15". I am using it along side another computer to basically surf and watch dvds. To save real estate I am trying to forgo using a keyboard and relying solely on the mouse. So far I really don't need the keyboard except to open the dvd drive and adjust the volume. How can I open and close the dvd drive and adjust the volume without the keyboard? I can eject a dvd by clicking on the eject button on idvd but it won't open the dvd drive if there is no disc inside and i can't close it once it is open w/o the kb. Thanks in advance.

You can adjust your volume using the megaphone icon in your menubar. You can eject a disc using the Finder, it has eject buttons beside the disc's name.
