Hi there, my iMac has an Nvidia GeForce GT 750m and I have something I would like explained :)

When I am in windows with this iMac that has 1GB of RAM, I notice when looking at the properties that it shows as a 4GB card. This is, of course, 1GB GDDR5 VRAM, and up to 3 GB of my 8GB system RAM.

So my question is, how well does this work? Does this mean that if I were to run a game that used 4GB worth of VRAM, would it perform the same as a DDR3 VRAM GPU (as 3 out of 4 GB of the total graphics memory would be using my system RAM)?

If anyone could explain how this works, and explain it that would be brilliant! Searching the web doesn't show any results relating to an answer.

Thanks!

So does nobody know? Anyone got any links that could hope me better understand the way in which it works?
