Hi All, I have a gen A Macbook Air (Early 2008, 1.6, 80 HD) that I want to sell. Two questions I have are:

(1) do people still buy these? How much can I sell it for?

(2) I didn't buy the external dvd drive. I plan to do a thorough wipe on the machine before selling it. After the wipe, can I reinstall OSX using Remote Disc? I would think Remote Disc will be deleted during the wipe so I have to have the external DVD drive, but I want to double check.

Thanks!

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), or Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what a reasonable price may be. Then adjust the price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc.
After the wipe, can I reinstall OSX using Remote Disc?
No, you can't use Remote Disc for OS installs.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any instructions on how to reinstall OSX after the wipe?
