Ok, so I got a 60GB Video IPOD for XMas. I am wondering how I can get the music from my old 10GB IPOD onto my new IPOD and then erase all the songs on the old IPOD so I can sell it? It wouldnt be a problem if my crappy old computer didnt crash and delete all my music, along with everything else.

I don't claim to be a buff but you should be able to get your songs from the iPod to a Mac and subsequently iTunes using an app like Senuti. If you want them on a PC, then enable viewing hidden files and go in through Explorer to reimport them.

As for cleaning your old iPod, I recommend using the latest iPod Software Updater to restore your firmware. :)

OK, first off I am not trying to sound like a total snob but it's "iPod" not "IPOD" because a lot of people on these forums get sooo pissed when people say that. Anyway, first you need to get the songs from your old ipod onto your computer. I assume you have a PC? Download this program to get those songs. Drag the folder it puts all of the songs in your into iTunes Library. Than just use the iPod updater and choose restore on your old iPod to delete all of the songs and restore it to factory settings. If you don't have the iPod updater, download it here.

One of the really irritating things about this forum is the way people get uptight about naming things correctly. How ironic that you should then make a similar mistake yourself! So tell me , is it iPod or ipod?

Correction...

Yeah, I get what you are trying to say here...it is iPod...but ipod or imac or mac is a helluva lot less annoying than IPOD, IMAC and MAC
