Quibi has added support for Chromecast, allowing iPhone users to stream content from the short-form video streaming service to Chromecast devices and Android smart TVs.

Screen-Shot-2020-05-27-at-09.38.21.jpg

Quibi is described as a "mobile-first" video platform offering "movie quality" original shows. Programming on Quibi is framed to fit the landscape and portrait modes of phone screens, and come in episodes of 10 minutes or less to cater for on-the-go lifestyles.

The service introduced support for Apple's ‌AirPlay‌ last month, and said Chromecast support would follow in June. Streaming from Quibi over either protocol plays content on a smart TV in horizontal format for better use of screen space.

Quibi for ‌iPhone‌ is available to download from the App Store [Direct Link] with a free 14-day trial.

A girl literally has 61 mio followers with 40+ mio views on a video on TikTok for eating cereal or dancing to a song for 8 seconds. I don’t think this target audience cares about 10 Minute episodes of „quality content“ when everyone is used to binge watching whole seasons now. Not sure what they were even thinking

Don't understand this. I might be in the minority, but for full featured content I want to watch on my TV, not smartphone. Even on business travel I can get myself to watch anything on my iPhone, would rather use the laptop.......(ahh business travel, those were the days :) )

Red arrow in attached image - "Oh no! We've literally fallen off the chart! Quick, start spending on marketing again, we still have some stupid investor money we can burn through!"

I got this for free from T-Mobile. Downloaded the app and signed up...haven’t watched a single thing since.

As a fan of the recent "golden era" of serialized TV that includes Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, The Wire, The Office, and many others, I'd like to see more shows like this. I am not interested in bite-size TV. It's a bs buzzword, along with "snackable" and "vertical video."

Quibi has confused social media with television - not the same thing.

Has anyone watched anything good on Quibi? I have it for free but haven't opened the app yet.

I watched „The Stranger“:
I liked it

I watched „Most dangerous game“:
It was „ok“ but not the right format for this. The ending was rushed

I watched something else but forgot LOL

haven’t seen anything worthy since their launch since

Got this for free through t-mobile. Watched the new season of Reno 911. Haven’t watched anything else. Would not pay for this service, they have commercials at the beginning of every episode. I don’t like paying for commercials.

Don't care about Quibi (never even heard of them), but why did I think Sophie Turner looked like Miranda Otto for a minute?

Am I that old?

I tried the trial, and honestly I was not impressed. The production value is not bad but the writing is very mediocre. And why would I want to watch any show In 8 minute increments anyway?

Only reason I tried it was for 50 states of fright. My trial is up soon. Bye bye

I watched 2-3 short videos on my brother’s iPhone, it is just so-so, not impressed..... personally I do not think I will use this app.

I think there are multiple apps/streaming services that all have the same content. There must be a giant pile of bad movies/TV etc. somewhere that cost nothing for them to license.
