Quick access to the camera

I am not sure when this came but I just noticed on my iPhone 3GS. When I double click the home button in sleep mode a camera button shows up beside the slider. I use to use it for the media player but haven’t listened to music on it in a while so I didn’t see the camera button.

As far as I know, they announced it during the keynote for the iPhone4S/iOS5.
