I have a PowerMac G4 with a GeForce 4 MX 64MB that I know supports two monitors at a time. It has one ADC port and one VGA port. I have a 17" Apple Studio Display (ADC) and recently bought a used 15" Apple Studio Display (ADC). The 15" I bought came with an ADC => DVI converter (retail $99). Will something like this let me use that monitor fine with my PowerMac?

No, that won't work. Adapters like that do not work both ways.

What you have is an analog VGA out port, and you're wanting to connect it to an ADC in port, which requres both a digital signal (basically DVI) and power (there's also USB in there). To do that, you'll need something much more pricey to go from VGA to ADC, like this:

Hmm, so I can't adapt a DVI monitor (male) to a VGA graphics card (female), either? Because the monitor came with an apple adapter to convert the ADC to DVI.

If not, can I buy a PCI DVI or ADC video card and use that? It seems like it would be cheaper than that adapter.
