Quick HDD compatibility question

Hey I was just wondering if an HDD from a pre-unibody MBP would be swapped into a 2011 MBP.

Yes.

As along as its a 2.5" 9mm (is it?) HDD fitment will be fine.

I would suggest getting a 7200RPM HDD, Hybrid or SSD over a 2009 SATA II 5400RPM HDD.
