After i have converted all my itunes movies etc into .m4v from .mov will i be able to delete all of my .mov files without worrying about the .m4v versions disappearing?

sorry for such a dumb question i just want to make sure i wont delete my files!

No need to worry. You can delete the .mov files, then test the .m4v files, and if they work, you can empty the Trash.
A more descriptive and precise thread title will help cater to the right audience and get you more adequate responses. (see rule #3 under How do I get help with a hardware or software problem)
To edit your thread title, just click on the

button on the bottom right of your original post and then click the "Go Advanced" button below your message.
Have you also taken a look at MRoogle, since that question may have been asked several times?
