for some reason, several of wallpapers/images, as well as purchased videos, do not have any preview-rather they just show the file kind-for example if I have a music video, instead of showing a preview, it simply shows just the preview of the file kind(mp4, mov, ect). The same goes for images. Any ideas of why this is?

I have the exact same issue with purchased TV shows and movies. Apparently it has to do with them being protected files. Not sure why your images are doing it though.

well i found a workaround for the images-i ran a automator script which adds thumbnails to images and that seems to have done the trick.

But I wonder why they wont let us preview the protected files??
