I am supposed to be meeting a guy at Starbucks for a drink and sell for his 2012 Retina MacBook Pro 15 inch. He is selling it to me for 1200 dollars, due to the fact that the Warranty has passed (not worried about that as all computers in my house are covered via insurance). Would you go for it or just save up for the new version? In case you wee wondering, it's the same one that Apple sales refurb for 1599+tax (i7, 8gb,256,650m).

It's a good deal, and you're significantly reducing the amount of money you'll lose if you decide to upgrade again next year.

Thanks! I thought so, but I wanted to ask the forum. Appreciate the advice, on my way to pick it up :)

I lucked out and found a good guy on Craigslist. College student. MacBook was legit too. Loaded Mavericks on it after a fresh wipe. No issues at all.
