iPod touch Quick Player can launch anywhere

New Beta allows you to access the Quick Player ( when you double tap the home button) anywhere on the ipod. Meaning it can even apear on the album covers:

Somehow I think this will be annoying and intrusive.

Wasnt it like this back in 1.1.5 or 2.0.0 or something, and then they took it away in the following release.

The cover flow controls were added in 2.0 then taken out again in 2.1, which sucked.
