Quick power question

My current Apple TV power cable comes through a "Tunnel" in the wall behind the TV screen from an AV bay. Whilst I can remove the power cable and thread the one for the Apple TV 4 through it would be a lot easier to use the cable from my current Apple TV. Previous version.

Does anyone know if there are any differences in the cable from a technical perspective? Apologies if this is a daft question but my knowledge of electricity is limited to switch goes on. Thing works.
