I'm about to order the new MBP, but I can't decide between the 13 or 15. I'll be using it for my master's program, video editing (GoPro camera), photo editing and the usual music, internet and other stuff. I was looking at the 13 - 2.6 w/16GB RAM and 512 SSD or the 15 - 2.3, 16GB, 512. I want something that is going to last for about 5-6 years. Do you think that the 13in will be able to handle video editing without too many issues or should I go with the 15in. I can think of better ways to spend the extra $600, but I want something that will last and not cause me to pull my hair out waiting for it to process video or photo editing. Thanks for the input and help.

Personally I use a 27"+24" desktop for big boy stuff and would want the other machine to be portable as a consequence.

If however I only had one machine would have to go 15" for the workarea.

I'm leaning toward the 15 and will have it connected to a 24in display, saving $600 would be nice but I don't want to have buyers remorse and get something that not going to work well.

I find the 13" a little too small for me. For a number of years I struggled with 14" windows laptops. The 15" makes a difference. I couldn't stand going to something smaller.

At home I use a 23" monitor.

I bought a 13" as a my main user and my work gave mea 15" for work. seems like the perfect combination IMO.
